Klin, Russia - St. Tikhon's church

Klin is a town of about 100,000 people, located about 80 kilometers (50 miles) Northeast of Moscow, Russia, on a highway connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg. Our visit was on September 22nd, 2006.

Klin is located in the Moscow region (province, state) and is an administrative centre of the Klin district. Klin is most famous as being the last town where Russian composer Peter TCHAIKOVSKY lived before passing away. In Klin, there is TCHAIKOVSKY'S memorial house open for visitors.

St. Tikhon was the last Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox church before the 1917 revolution. He was canonized in 1989, and a church named after him was opened in Klin shortly after that.

Was in Klin in 2003. It is a beautiful city. Wanted to take the tour of Tchaikovsky House and Museum, but was pressed for time. Was on the way to Tver. Would like to go back and visit like tourist. It have so many fine places to see.

thank you for your pics of Klin city, I was live there 20 year ago, this is a beautifull and nice city, I had many memories about city and I hope one day I will return, I love Russia and I love Kin
