June 30 through July 10, 2005. Our vacation this year takes us on a two-day trip across southern Nevada, to Southwest Utah for a week base-camped at Duck Creek with my parents, then another two-day back across central Nevada. This trip was amazing. I can definitely understand why a lot of people joke that southern Utah should just me made into one big national park. The scenery there is just stunning! We saw so much on this trip, yet we had to leave so much more on our to-do list for next time. Each image opens into its own gallery for more pictures of the day's exploration.
Brian, your pictures of Nevada and Southern Utah are really wonderful. That area is one of our favorites and we visited there the last two years. We visited virtually all the National parks and monuments all the way to the Colorado border. We missed most of the sights you photographed in Nevada so we'll just have to go back. We also got pretty much rained out both years in Grand Staircase Escalante so we had to skip Peek-a-boo canyon because of the threatening weather. It was October and a bit cooler - a bit too cold in places like Devil's Postpile where it was 28F in the morning! I really liked your nighttime pictures at Tonopah and the red-red rocks at Peek-a-Boo canyon. Thanks for sharing!!

What a fabulous collectiion -- brought back many memories of my drive through those areas on my way to PA in 1997. Next, you will have to buy a book to identify your wild flowers by other than their color! You do a marvelous job at your photography, Brian. Keep it up! Sister M.Regina
