Little River Zoo - Norman, Oklahoma

A very nice little zoo to go visit. Very friendly people and they give everyone a tour guide that tells you all about the animals at the zoo. Also cost is only about $5.00 to get in.

Hello I just want to say that I love your zoo. When I was a young kid my mom worked for the zoo, that was in the early 90's and when we moved away we gave the zoo our pot bellied pig named pumpkin. Someday I hope to come back and see the zoo.I don't know if the same lady is running the place but she would know my mom her name was Myndy Crouse and my name is Rachel Crouse.

I went to LRZ alittle over a year ago and it was great. It was raining but we still had an awesome time. The animals are very cared for. One of my old close friends work's out there. They all take wonderful care of the animals. Some keepers even came in on days off to take care of the animals.

Hi Brian. I used to go to LRZ all the time,,because of all the beautiful and very smart parrots (macaws, cockatoos, amazons). I miss them terribly. Is there any chance you could post some pictures of them when you get a chance? I keep thinking I will get back out there,,the last time I was there, the Zoo had really grown,,and I found myself very impressed with all the improvements. I will get back out there when work and family members arent so demanding of me. I can't remember if you were working there when I was a weekend regular there to see Harley the redfront macaw, and the rest of the gang of course. I would so appreciate it if you could get some pictures of those beautiful guys. Thankyou.

my husband and i visited the zoo august 22, 2008. i was so taken by the obvious care, consideration, and love the zoo employees have for the animals....our guide was very well knowledgeable about all the animals, and was very kind to the visitors.i had been waiting about 5 years to go there, and my husband FINALLY went with me.....i think he enjoyed it as much as me! it felt more like a sanctuary than a zoo and i appreciated that. guest from duncan, oklahoma

My sister had given her Crocodile to that zoo. A Camen croc named Ramseys. I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong. Do you have any pictures of her?

Hey there. I'm a former LRZ employee, and though these shots were taken before I actually started working there, they definitely cause a stir of nostalgia in me. I do miss my furry friends down there in Norman. You've got some fantastic photos in here! Thanks for brightening my day!

I visited the zoo last year with my two youngest grandchildren....loved the tour! I really felt my grandchildren liked this zoo over any others we have ever visited! I think the tour really makes a difference! My other four grandchildren can't wait to see the animals....will be bringing them today! cathy Sigmund
