Kieth Zielke's Outstanding Service Award

Janet Logan accepting Kieth's award.

Keith is probably our most experienced trail work volunteer and has consistently turned out for work parties. He started packing and working on trails when he was 13 or 14. His father worked for the Forest Service and Keith and his family spent a couple of summers in the mountains repairing and/or building trails

Keith has worked on many trails in the Chelan Sawtooth with other MVBCH members, particularly in the Twisp River Drainage. The East Fork of the Buttermilk Trail, War Creek Trail and the Twisp River Trail are just a few of them. He has also been involved in building bridges and turnpikes and carrying out maintenance work on the Horse Camp. Keith is an expert packer and is not afraid of hard physical work. He's a great companion and fellow worker in our trail crews and has contributed greatly to the BCHW Mission.
