I think the upper platform is a key factor in making
the photo work.
And someone else is right that these need to be
seen in the enlargement mode, because the interest
is in the detail. Each shot tends to be quite stunning.
This is a very interesting photo. I wonder how it would have looked with the upper platform cropped out? I think the overall composition would improve a bit. Perhaps your eyes would then be drawn undistracted down into the image. Just a thought. Nice capture. :-)
