North Berwick

A few pictures taken down at the harbour using the old Olympus 50mm f/1.8 manual focus lens.
The main picture is the same house that was in my PAD two days ago.

I was thinking that it might have been even before I saw the caption. Nature gave you a major break with the light here; you don't really "see" it (so much as feel it) unless you're looking for it, but the mixture of sunlight hitting the top of the clouds and some of the land, and shadows from the bottom of the clouds make a subtle series of tone shifts that make this a much more interesting shot than would occur on a bright and sunny day (oh, wait, this is North Berwick, forget I said that) or an overcast one.

Very impressive composition in all three but particularly the main picture. Lovely contrast between the blues and warm wall. Very nice.
