Where to go?

I plan to use some of my frequent flyer miles for a holiday. Probably in the US, and possibly a city break and road trip.
Can't decide where but I am not a beach holiday sort of person, so somewhere interesting.
San Francisco and drive to Seattle? Denver to Santa Fe? DC and down the Blue Ridge Parkway?

I have been using this E-P5 for a while. A great camera; small, light and lots of fun. My A7R is in 'Camera ER' after an accident with rain and the sensor....

And last year it also rained.

That's a well worn Passport there! All of the holiday options sound good!

If you decide to come to Houston Texas, please let me know! Too hot in the summer, but wonderful in Spring.

The US is vast and you have to drive a lot to get most places. I'd go to west coast in any case... Highway 1 .Hope the 7 recovers, although the PEN is quite nice too. V

All trips sound good! San Francisco to San Diego might be nice, too. The coast is beautiful. Heading north, the Oregon coast is spectacular. DC to North Carolina or maybe to Savannah is a great trip as well. So many choices!

BTW, sad to hear about your camera. I hope she is well soon. :)

San Francisco to Seattle is quite a haul. However if you stick to the Coast Highways, you will be rewarded with countless photographic opportunities, If you have the time, definitely add on the Olympic Loop. I have been there three times and one day I just might go again. Have a great holiday.

Cheers,

David
