The Long March

Yellowcraigs

I took Katie to Yellowcraigs, a nearby beach and woodland area, for a bit of a longer walk.
She is happy to explore but really doesn't want to go too far.
Once she has gone far enough, she just stops and refuses to go any further.

Dear sweet Katie! I wouldn't go far either if I had those little short legs! That's a lotta work!

A very nice portrait of her with this low perspective. She know when to stop, a lot more intelligent than many people I know.

Great capture of Katie. My dog does the same thing but she's too big to carry very far. I have to wait 'till she's ready to go again.

Love Linda's comment! Perhaps you need a trailer for your bike for Katie?

She's too wise

Very nice shot. My parents dog does the same, but she is small enough to carry home. V

Good for her! That's pretty much what Sahraa does, just sits down, but usually it's because my husband wants to go home and she doesn't. She always wins. Great capture of Katie! V.

(Sometimes we'd love a dog that decided she'd had enough!)

This made me chuckle - if you have a fit border collie you will never find they've had enough, in fact quite the reverse. We were once on Crantock beach and Archie felt short changed when we headed back over the dunes to go back to the car - the walk along the beach changes dramatically depending on the height of the tide. He just kept lying down in the sand and refusing to go up the path that he knew led to the end of the walk!
