Young Love in the Cold

North Berwick

Unfortunately the weather did not play nice today for the fete in support of the lifeboat.
Still, lots of people did turn out, wrapped up warm, and enjoyed the day.
I think there is an age cut-off at around 20 that determines how people sit on a bench...

Question: If you could only have one, would it be a GH3 or D7100 ?

This photo is a real winner! I really like the boats off to one side with the youth seemingly oblivious of their surroundings.

A fine shot of these under 20 year olds! maybe younger with the shorts also. I'd go with the MFT kit... got some good glass should match in most cases the 7100. V

A super candid and commentary that made me smile. They don't look at all comfy with regard to either weather or seating.
Choice of camera and lenses largely depends on the type of work you want to do. My guess is either would work well in your hands.

I like this shot a lot - the warmth between the individuals vs a chilly day - and a wonderful setting V

it's fashionable to look half frozen apparently :)

It definitely looks chilly out there but not bothering them so much. Looks like he has shorts on, too! I'm not sure I could make that choice; you seem to get good results from both.

If you can get shallow DOF with the smaller camera/lenses then that's the one I'd choose.

It doesn't look very comfy!
