Rain Machine

North Berwick

The international "stick and ball" games start this week at Muirfield, the golf course just down the road from here.
One of the sponsors is Adidas and they are showing off their new golf wear.
However, as the weather is unseasonally dry, they brought along their rain machine so that players could test the waterproofness of their clothes.
Those clothes are probably useful for dog-walking too.

That's a lot of fuss to make rain...

Amazing! They say when folk pay lots of money to go walking, it's called golf.

Marketing gone mad. I'm a big Goretex fan, but a few sprinkles from this "rain machine" is not much of a test. The real world test is being out in steady rain for hours at a time.
In any case, a very striking photo. ~V~

All that and they get paid to wear the clothes, rain or shine, if I could only play golf ... Great shot. V

Fascinating info about the rain machine, and an excellent capture of it. Katie might like to be walked by somebody dressed up in flashy, rainproof golf wear!
