Ten months after I left Peace Corps, I returned on a USAID-sponsored Farmer to Farmer project with CNFA to teach small scale fish famers how to avoid inbreeding in their fish. I wound up teaching short courses in three different parts of Northern Province - near Mpika, Isoka and Mporokoso. At the shortcourse near Mporokoso, one of the CAHP-WASHE volunteers gave an hour-long HIV/AIDS awareness class. HIV/AIDS was a huge problem in Zambia and took the lives of several of my farmers.
