Apparently common carp have been relabeled "Golden Bonefish" by those who fish for them hoping to get more respect. They are a fun fish to catch, very strong and, in fact, more widely raised for food for hundreds of years than any other fish. Right now I am catching them in about a foot of water, attracting them with cracked feed corn and using homemade English-style "boilies" for bait. Boilies get their name because the final step in preparation of this bait is to boil them for two minutes. Lots of fun making the bait; lots of fun catching "Golden Bonefish", and extremely fun watching my grandkids catch them.
