Close Encounters of the Furred Kind

This morning, just before dwan, I went out to pick up the newspaper and noticed a flock of Bohemian waxwings in the tree bald eagles generally sit in later in the day. I wanted to get some profile pictures of the waxwings before the eagles arrived and scattered them, so I went inside to get my camera. I came out, took a few pictures, then decided I could do better with my telephoto lens. I went back inside, came back out again and nearly ran into a moose broadside that was next to the door eating a pumpkin. Not especially wanting an eyeball shot of the moose, I backed up (probably a good idea anyway)to try to get his whole head in the picture and these shots are some of what I got. I hope you enjoy them. I sure enjoyed taking them.
