A random selection from my scanned slides and negatives originally taken in the 1970's and 1980's. These were what I regard as the 'good old days' before London's bus operations were split up and sold off to the private sector. Although service reliability was not always very high in those days, the routes themselves were relatively stable for long periods. Nowadays the good public of London suffer from an almost endless round of route changes associated with each batch of contract renewals. The only good point is that the bus network in London is still regulated.
