What did I do before I had you in my life
How did I live without purrs
Without soft tails caressing my ankles
And tender paws kneading my lap

Did the sun really rise before I knew you
Before whiskers kissed me awake
I knew nothing about furry snuggles
Or the piece of my heart you would take

No, God made you a most precious gift
The love of a cat is unique
And now I depend on your elegant presence
To make each day complete!
