These photos were taken during a two week stint I did as a voluntary research assistant (via Earthwatch) looking into pollution in Lake Baikal (there is very little - it's one of the cleanest lakes in the world, and quite safe to drink). Unfortunately my camera packed up less than half way through this trip and, as I had no spare, that was it for photography :-( Hey ho, guess it's a good excuse to go back :-)
