January 2016 ..... A few days away in the quiet and pretty fishing village of Port Albert, on the South Gippsland coast in Victoria. Once a busy port serving isolated towns and the goldfields of the area from the mid 1800's, but now a small fishing port and holiday destination for either avid boat and fishing people or those like us, wanting somewhere away from very popular and crowded places. We found a "pet friendly" cottage for rent so Evie could accompany us. It was perfect.

Many varieties of seabirds, parrots and garden birds, rabbits in the bushes and kangaroos just beyond our cottage!

We travelled home along the Grand Ridge Road and the Tara Bulga National Park, stopping for afternoon tea at the Lyrebird Cafe, in a picturesque garden with many visiting birds.

December 2017 ..... Back again in this pleasant little village - same cottage, same dog, same peaceful surroundings, different friend joined us for a while
