East and West MacDonnell Ranges

Alice Springs sits between these old rugged ranges which draw travellers to many picturesque sites, easily accessible in day trips, in either direction, from the town. As the light changes between sunrise and sunset, the ranges display a changing pattern of crimsons, burnt oranges, browns and shades of purple.
