House exchange in London, 2004

In January, 2004, we exchanged our house in Melbourne for a beautiful London apartment in a gated, renovated block in Wapping, East End, within walking distance along the Thames to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and on into the City. Although it was winter we explored the galleries, museums, churches, markets and shopping streets, and made excursions to Brighton, Rochester, Hampstead, Richmond and Oxford.
With the rest of Europe on our doorstep, we holidayed in the Languedoc region of France, Naples and the Amalfi coast in Italy.
