Central Italy - Umbria 2011

Umbria seemed an appropriate part of Italy to reach easily by train from Rome and something new for us, having toured the popular cities in Tuscany last year. Spoiled for choice, we chose Orvieto, high on a craggy cliff and reached by a funicular, and Perugia, another beautifully preserved hill town.
