We flew right over the top of the Knud Rasmussen glacier (which feeds into the north-east branch of the Sermiligaq fjord) so I could only get the northern side of the snout of the glacier in shot. The thickness of the ice at the glacier snout on this side is about 50 metres (over 150 ft) above the water level. This was the glacier that we had visited by boat the day before, and this shot was taken right overhead the spot where I took the photograph titled 'Knud Rasmussen 02' earlier in this gallery.
