You have combined the art of the photograph with a bounding environment. It would be very interesting to see what you would/will/have done with the framing - I could easily see a house built around many of these - thanks for the viewing pleasure!

I don't know if you know the photographer Dan Eldon and his journals, If you don't I recomend you to look at his work... his is quite more chaotic but it is very nice, in a certain way this gallery makes me think about his work. However, very nice and well done, very neet.

Hi, Linda -- every BZ gallery opening is an event, and this one is no exception. These are sophisticated, complex blendings of imagery and graphics that together give us sense of place. They would make an excellent set of travel posters, much handsomer than most. While I have seen many of these photographs before, the added context lifts them to an entirely new function and level of communication.

Thanks for sharing them with us, as always.

(By the way, Jean's suggestion is valid. Your small sizing does not really do justice to the wealth of detail you present. Of course I've always felt that all photographs should be sized large enough for the viewer to be able to see the smallest detail instantly, and have hammered away at that in my workshops through the years. In fact, I just left a similar message this morning on an image by the brilliant Shanghai prodigy Jen Zhou at: http://www.pbase.com/image/32209906. Both BZ and JZ need to beef up their sizing -- not just for these images, but for all of their images. Try 1,000 pixels wide for your horizontals and see how you like it.)
