We could not have selected a better day for our trip to the Flower Fields. A record-sized group wandered under mostly blue skies among the acres of ranunculus, rose, petunia, gladiolas, and poinsettia in Carlsbad while overlooking the ocean and standing in the midst of a painted lady butterfly migration path. Not to mention the art show, an incredible sand sculpture, a variety of birds, and countless varieties of other flowers. About half the club followed up the photo shoot with lunch at the nearby Souplantation. These field trips just keep getting better and better.
