At Huey, sitting near the window, I saw the lady making the flower from the palm leaves.
After leaving Savannha for a while, she went back to Savannah several years ago.
The flower, she told me, used to be made by the lady to the young men going to the battle.
"You know what it is made?"
"It's made of palm tree. It can last forever."
Her hands were scratched, which didn't look like from the people in the south.
"That's (because of )my dog. He is just kinda naughty."
She finally showed me the flower, proudly.
