After leaving Kibo hut around midnight to make the most of the frozen scree, we climbed a virtually 45 deg slope for 5 hours to reach Gilman's Point. Hans Meyer Cave is approx. half-way between Kibo hut and Gilman's Point. Temp. around - 10 deg. C
