You send a message to Russia and you wonder why your letter has not arrived after 2 months...
1) You probably wrote the address wrong, 2) Russian Postal service simply doesn't like letters from abroad and 3) when it finally gets near its destination it ends up here somewhere....

No matter where I have been, all the post boxes look like this. Destroyed. Moscow, Ufa, Agidel, Petersburg, whatever... Send e-mail or use DHL (It will cost ya, but at least the letter arrives within a week, at the right address)
