The official name is "Grand Falls of the Little Colorado," but it fondly called "Chocolate Falls" due to the color of the muddy waters. This massive waterfall is higher than Niagara Falls, with a vertical relief of 185 feet. Located just inside the western edge of the Navajo reservation just east of Flagstaff. The best time to see the falls is after snow melt in early spring. These shots were taken from late afternoon till past sunset capturing the varied hues and colors from bright orange to deep purple.
