Killdeer Standoff
I met this Killdeer at Diefenbaker Lake on a gravel road that apparently, he had ownership of. He seemed reluctant to let me pass, and I did so with great caution so as not to drive over one of the baby Killdeer that I saw scurry across the road.
A bit later he tried the "Broken wing" trick to take my attention away from the young, but the photo is pretty crappy to show here.
What a fun encounter!
By the way, this was not with my new Lens Baby, but my 80-200 wide open @ 200. SOme pretty nice Bokeh happening here...

Family Outing at Lake Diefenbaker
I took a drive out to Lake Diefenbaker - Gardiner Dam today and saw this family of Canada Geese playing at the water's edge. The wind was gusting quite strongly, look at the neck feathers on the goose on the left :) I Didn't want to get too close to these guys, so the Goslings are a little small in the image. I think it's time for some longer glass!!

Lens Baby Tree
I had to try the Lens Baby out on a flowering tree... No Photoshop other than a little sharpening, ironic eh?

Canada Geese in the morning light
These Geese were sitting on a railing on the CP bridge in Saskatoon early one Sunday morning. I knew that they would take off when someone got close, and was ready to take a shot of them in flight

Saskatoon Weir at night
I shot this one handheld. It's kind of soft but I like it anyway! I did NOT filter the light, that's the way it looks in the image....
Dusk Pelican at the Saskatoon Weir
Taken with a friends Canon 20D @ ISO 1600. I love the lighting in this shot!
