From nyc sporting news www.nycsportingnews.com
New Utrecht - 38
Tottenville - 14
New Utrecht QB, Francesco Sinagra threw 3 TDs and ran for 2 TDs to allow the Utes to advance to next week's semi finals. Alexander Warden and Akeem McFarlane combined for a tackle in the end zone for the safety to give the Utes a 22-7 halftime lead. In the 3rd quarter Sinagra found Ljabinot Gashi for a TD pass, followed by a Warden run for the 2 pt. conversion and the rest was history. Sinagra ended the game with 217 passing yards and his 3 TD passes went to Gashi, Terrance Garner and Jaquan Melton. Warden ended the game with 90 yards rushing and he had an intersception on defense.
I would love to be at next weeks game when New Utrecht goes to Staten Island to play the undefeated and top-seeded Warriors. Family in South Carolina calls for thanksgiving so being from Brooklyn I say Good Luck Utes.
