Oh yeah! V8 grunt at alf barbagallo raceway! Talk about an aussie tradition. Munch on a barby, Drink lots of booze, laze all day long on something comfy all to the music of 600+ horse power aussie V8 grunt miesters blasting past at over 200 kmh! Yeah!

Been a long while since I visited Alf Barbagallo raceway. Last time I went I was armed with a Canon Prima 5 point & shoot film camera. Boy, what a difference a couple of big lens and a DSLR makes! I have to give credit for the day to a very good friend of mine who invited myself along with him to this meet. We jumped on our 50cc Scooters for the journey to the raceway which was ideal for parking and somehow, we managed to carry all out gear, food, chairs, camera and a good supply of drinks.

I hope everybody enjoys the photo's. At first I had trouble panning to keep the fast moving cars in frame. But pretty quickly I got the hang of it with a lot of help from the ultra fast focus of the Canon 70-200mm F4L Lens. Apart from cropping and resizing, I have had to do little to these shots!
