If you're traveling in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, there are other things besides the beach to keep your attention. A few minutes south are these spectacular gardens . We lucked out on the timing and found the azaleas in full bloom and had bright sunny weather and mid 70 temps as well - great way to spend a few days.

Great gallery here. YOu've captured many beautiful images of the gardens. I've been there too and need to return one day. Thanks for commenting on mine as well.

Beautiful photos, Mark - my wife and I just finished a visit to the Gardens - about 30 minutes ago! - and we're relaxing before dinner. I'm heading back in the morning and your photos are inspirational. (Where was that croc? Well, it's July as I write this, about 85 degrees today, it's really muggy (by California standards), so most of the animals were keeping a very low profile.

Great photos Mark. I am an amateur photographer myself and live about 5 miles from Brookgreen. Wonderful place to take photos.

Mahalo for the memories. I lived on the Isle Of Palms in the early 70's and visited Brookgreen Gardens often. My sister is going to Charleston this spring and I was doing some research on my old neighborhood for her to preview. We love your photos. Wish I could go with her!
