The Astrophotographer and his Canon EOS 20Da SLR 35mm

Here I am with my new (March 2006) Canon EOS 20Da SLR 35mm digital camera and Bogen Manfrotto carbon/mag fiber tripod. I switched from slide film to digital in 2006 and don't regret it (except for the sensor dust). The Canon 20Da (a = astrophotography) is the first digital camera to be optimized for astrophotography. Thank you Canon! It is the same as the 20D except it has the infared filter to capture the red nebulosity of deep space objects. It also has extended noise reduction control for long exposures and has "live preview" on the LCD screen so that the astrophotographer can focus on his celestial subjects in the extreme low-light of night-sky photography without the use of the viewscreen. It is truly a piece of art! Stay tuned to my website for a ongoing display of many images from this camera.
