Rocks on the Beach

This is an image taken well after dark. The Moon provided the illumination for this one and a half minute exposure, but it was too dim to focus so a green laser pointer was used to produce a bright dot on the rocks. The camera auto-focus was then able to lock on and achieve shark focus on the rocks.

I had never thought to use a green laser pointer to assist with auto focus. I will have to give that a try.
