Hi. Thanks for the visit. CHEETAH -Yes that image was taken in the Kruger National Park.SA. The cheetah is the fastest land animal and run down his prey. Dangerous? yes but I have never heard of a cheetah attcking a human in the bush.
On my site you will find a full cheetah gallery. The shot was taken with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. Regards. Arno.

Hi Antonius,
Thank you again for your nice comments. Here is some information about this photo:
http://www.pbase.com/image/57240989 - Dyeing the Chicago River:
This annual event holds in March around St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
The tradition started in 1962, when city pollution-control workers used dyes to trace illegal sewage discharges and realized that the green dye might provide a unique way to celebrate the holiday. That year, they released 100 pounds of green vegetable dye into the river—enough to keep it green for a week!

Thank you for your comments. You have a lot of nice pictures in your gallery. Keep it up. I just read your message in your profile. Very interesting. My first camera is sony-DSC-P72 but at that time, I knew nothing about photography. When I started to learn photography a few months ago, I realized that this sony camera did not work at all so I brought a new camera, Canon Powershot S2 IS on July 23rd, 2005 (still, it is not a DSLR). I just want to see whether I have this talent or not. :)

Wellcome to PBase and thx 4 ur comments. Your landscapes are gorgeous. And about my camera: Your are joking, it's an Ixus 400. A good camera is a Nikon D70s, like yours. :-). But I like so much Ixus series. Ixus 400 provides for me pics with good colors and exposure, although so little maunal control. I'm going to buy a new camera, and I think that it wil be an Ixus 750, cos I prefer portability. And this camera will give me a great resolution (7.1 MP), but in the future I will buy a DSRL.
