Inspired by the film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, but designed as a competitive Warhammer Wood Elf tournament army, this was a project I am unlikely to repeat. I spared no expense in sourcing the appropriate modelling parts, and as you can see virtually every model is extensively converted to replicate the various species from the film. Furthermore, most of the miniatures were modelled off a single frame from the film. The Centaur Knights, for example, represent all the most dynamic poses and movements performed by the Centaur captain Orieus. Those that I couldn't source from parts of existing ranges were modelled from scratch, such as Mr Beaver (just try to find a model beaver in armour!!) As a Warhammer army it is also designed to be versatile, and the various roles used by each model are listed in the first entry. Complete I have taken it to 3 tournaments and it has been awarded Best Army at each. Despite the work involved I use it rarely and as such will be selling it soon.
