I shoot many casual portraits, sometimes with flash, sometimes not. Tripod for some shots but usually not. The IS in the Fz50 and G9 are very effective. I stand in awe of photographers dedicated to the art of portaiture. Indeed, my photos of people are far more casual, spontaneous, and lighted as best situations allow.
