Ladakh Flash Floods

Images of the devastation caused by one night of flash floods in Leh and along the Indus region of Ladakh in August 2010. It happened around 1am so people had no warning and many hundreds lost their lives and homes. It was the worse event I have ever seen. Occurring at the same time as the flooding in Pakistan it was largely overshadowed by the much greater catastrophe affecting that country.
