I've always been interested in photography, but never really had the time or money to go for my creative side. I'm always distracted by other hobbies(guitar, tennis, road cycling, to name a few). I borrowed my friend's old Canon SLR manual film camera and developed a few rolls. I'm also lucky enough to have a co-worker with great talent at landscape photography. And BAMM!! I'm hooked!! I won a Canon Rebel Ti SLR film camera with two lenses, bag and extras, all for $81 on EBay!! Great starter. I've heard(and read) that film camera is the way to learn. Most of these shots are from that camera, and some from a cheap "point and shoot" digital.
LOTS OF THANKS to: My awesome wife and kids(my photo subjects) Luv Ya !! PBase and all those who post on the Forum, I've learned quite a bit. Jason Branz http://www.pbase.com/gust_front
As of 17 April 2008, I am now a proud owner of my first digital SLR, the Nikon D50. From this pbase site, the D50 has lots of great shots and comments. Though easy on the wallet, I did have to sell one of my bikes to get it. So far, the pictures are worth it.
