I started out with removing the MU and brake hoses, carefully removed the cut lever, then removed the anti-climber and draft gear box. After careful measurements, two pieces of 0.030" x 0.060" styrene were added to narrow the draft gear box. The pilot lift lugs were also filled in, and everything was puttied and wet sanded with 600 grit sand paper. I'll put a light coat of primer on this, and wet sand with 1500 grit after a Details West SC-363 "Scale Coupler Loco Pilot Buffer Plat" is installed to replace the molded on (and removed) buffer plate.
