most of these trail riders travel greater than 100 miles on horseback (or in horse drawn wagons)& some travel as much as 386 miles!
they emulate the great cattle drives of the 19th century
I am amazed at how many folks make this journey each year ...some 4000 trail riders made the journey this year
the parade is the culmination of the long ride and they all seem in fine spirits at its end
