this is the name given by the NYC Department of Parks & by the NYC Architectural Guide
it is at the center of NYU's campus, my alma mater
the camera I used delivers exquiste low light images because it can be hand held at lower shutter speeds than SLRs and has outstanding fast wide angle lenses available in its mount
PS: this printed out beautifully at A3 size & I am certain I could have gone bigger had I wanted

It's "The Washington Arch" and was designed by Stanford White. Look him up. He had quite a life.
Second, it ain't the center of anyone's campus. It's a public neighborhood park, and the mighty who have tried to change that over the years have been broken in pieces. The 20,000 poor buried there centuries ago guard it with a restless vigil.
