I had an amusing confrontation with the two gentleman to the right
they noticed me taking photographs & upon my exiting at my hotel, the man nearest the exit asked me if I knew "why General Jackson faces to the north?"
I shrugged my shoulders sympathetically
"Because he don't trust Yankees," with both breaking out into guffaws
I did not restrain myself from pointing out to them, loudly, as I exited
"I believe General Lee stands on that pillar
Jackson sits on a horse opposite St. Louis Cathedral"
