Palpung Sherab Ling, the seat of the XIIth Tai Situ Rinpoche in India, is situated in the gentle pine forested foothills of the Kangra valley in Northern India, in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The calmness is broken only by the songs of birds and the peace is complimented by its isolation. Palpung Sherab Ling is blessed with an ideal environment. Only one road runs through Palpung Sherab Ling, but natural footpaths and tracks wind through the forest.

The serenity and spirituality of Palpung Sherabling Monastery is unmatched. Beside being located at a place which is away in a forest, it is also due to prayers by thousand monks guided by His Eminence Tai Situ Rinpoche who carries wisdom of hundreds of years.

I cannot fail to feel the serenity of the temple and its environment even just by viewing these shots. The snowy mountain range in the backdrop of the golden gilted temple roofis just wonderful. We should go and appreciate it at first hand.
