This beautiful masjid was constructed by Nawab Hakim Ali-UdDeen Wazir Khan in 1630s, , on the site of a Khanaqah of the sufi Sheikh Sayyad Mohammad Ishaq Gazrun. Wazir Khan was the governor of Lahore during the Mughal period of the Shah Jehan. Fortunately this treasure is presently being restored to its original glory.
