Designed by the Turkish Architect, Vedat Dalokay the modern Faisal Masjid typically depicts the Turkish heritage in its minarets. The main structure is in the shape of a Bedu's tent and sits against the beautiful backdrop of the Margalla Hills. Completed in 1986, the masjid was mainly funded by Shah Faisal bin Abdul Aziz.
