Singing dune is the dune that can produce a sound when you walk down the hill. The compression of the dry sands create attrition that sound like woop..woop...This only happen for the dune in certain area such the one in west side of military airport between Messaid to Abu Samra road, Qatar. The noise may be generated by friction between the grains or compression of air between them. This is specially true at the middle of summer when the weather is really hot and dry. Qatar singing dune seems one of only 14 world location that the grain of sand have unique properties to create all of this.
