Michelle, Chazzy and I decided to head south and check out Kentucky's highest waterfall today. When we arrived at Yahoo Falls we were surprised that we had the entire area to ourselves.....but the 15 degree temps probably had a lot to do with that. The delicate falls were absolutely amazing and stood in stark contrast to the fury of Cumberland Falls that we visited yesterday. A fine spray of water fell 113 feet before landing in a frozen mountain pool. The natural arches and deeply undercut waterfall made for a most memorible hike. We are planning a return trip this May to see the spring flowers and wood-warbler migration.
