Pine Mountain - March 7, 2009

Michelle, Chazzy and I decided to hike on Pine Mountain today. The weather was perfect with temps in the 70's and blue skies. We found our first blooming Colts Foot today and spotted a couple different species of butterfly (maybe Comma and Mourning Cloak - I still don't know butterflies). We found the trail out to Chimney Rock and got great looks back at the Breaks Park and the Russell Fork Gorge. Signs of spring were everywhere and I for one am ready for some warm weather.

Very nice images, all well done, composed and exposed. I especially enjoyed the ones located in my back yard--Breaks Park and Pine Mountain. As many hours as I've spent in those areas you managed to find places I've yet to tread. But it is a big place and hopefully I have a few more year and miles left in me.
