Michelle, Chazzy and I spent the day hiking the National Forest near Laurel Bed Lake. We were off-trail most of the day and located an area known as Bald Rock on Clinch Mountain. The recent rains have led to an explosion of mushroom growth in the forest. Best birds of the day included a Veery, Black-throated Blue Warbler, and an Osprey that Michelle spotted over Laurel Bed Lake. The waterfalls of Big Tumbling creek were beautiful. Overall, a great day to be out in nature.
