Michelle, Chazzy and I made a morning hike up Caney Island and Mike's Branch this morning. The most numerous bird of the day were Kentucky Warblers - especially now that the pairs have fuzzy headed, stub-tailed fledglings to contend with. Michelle has even learned to ID a Kentucky chip note. Other warblers included Redstart, Ovenbird, Hooded, Black-and-white, Parula, Cerulean, and Black-throated Green. We also found some new flowers and butterflies for 2008 along the way.
